Sep9SWR gains ISO 9001 accreditation

SWR is accredited to the International Quality Standard (ISO 9001:2008) for providing customers with a single point of contact for dealing with their recycling and waste management requirements.
ISO 9001 accreditation is recognised all over the world as third party assurance that a business is committed to providing a high quality service to its customers and has an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in place.
What does this mean?
It means that SWR is committed to providing a high quality of service. We are committed to improving our operating systems by setting periodic objectives with first-class customer service in mind.
The process of gaining accreditation has been a pleasure for each SWR staff member. It has allowed everyone to become more involved with the running of the company by reviewing the processes they work on. In doing so we have all developed our views on how best to enhance customer satisfaction.
To gain ISO 9001 accreditation businesses have to complete a two stage assessment. Aan external auditor comes into the businesses and makes sure processes are being followed and that all the requirements of the 9001 standard are being met. Once certified, businesses must be externally audited at regular intervals to maintain accreditation,.
We are currently working on an integrated management system which will bring together the three management system standards of 9001 Quality, 14001 Environment and 18001 Health and Safety. Watch this space for updates.
