Angus MacDonald – Executive Chairman
Angus Founded SWR in May 2007, following 11 years as CEO of eFinancialNews Group which was sold in two parts to Dow Jones and Dice Inc for £79m. Prior to that he built up and sold Edinburgh Financial Publishing.

Giles Whiteley – Chief Executive Officer
Giles maintains a strategic overview on all operations at SWR. Before working here Giles was responsible for 19,000 business customers at Redstone Telecom Company. Prior to his work in telecoms he was a consultant to the manufacturing industry specialising in delivering operational efficiency to large operations. Giles brings a strong focus on customer experience to SWR through investing in people and process.

Rupert Pennant Rea – Non-Executive Director
Chairman of Henderson Group Plc and The Economist Group. Earlier, led the buy-out of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office and subsequent sale of its various businesses. Former Editor of The Economist and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England.

Ralph Kanter – Non-Executive Director
Ralph was the former Chairman of PHS, Safety Kleen, Inchcape Shipping Services and a number of other private equity owned companies. He currently holds a range of Non Executive directorships in small and medium sized public and private companies. He is a Volunteer Business Mentor for the Princes Trust.

Professor Susan Grimes – Non-Executive Director
Susan has been Professor of Waste Management at Imperial College since 2005. Previously head of Environmental Research at Brunel University, leading a team of 500 practitioners, scientists and regulators. The focus of her research is on waste as a resource, maximising sustainability and recovery.

Richard Brown – General Manager
Richard is General Manager and heads up business developments and sales management for the automotive and regional sectors of SWR. He is a veteran of the automotive recycling sector and founder of the business. With 30 years experience in the motor trade, Richard has been at the forefront of the development of making recycling happen commercially.
