    Defra is the UK government department responsible for policy and regulations on the environment, food and rural affairs. Its website contains extensive guidance and information on waste management, recycling and environmental issues.

  • The Environment Agency

    This is the regulatory body for the environment in England and Wales, responsible to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the National Assembly for Wales. Its principal aims are to protect and improve the environment, and to promote sustainable development.

  • Net Regs

    NetRegs provides free environmental guidance for small and medium-sized businesses in the UK. It helps you understand how to comply with environmental law and protect the environment.

     

  • Waste & Resources Action Programme

    WRAP has a wide remit, working with local authorities, business and households to prevent waste, increase recycling and develop markets for recycled and sustainable products. This helps bring measurable gains to the economy and long term benefits to the environment.
